Get to Know the Practice

Get Whitt Therapy

At Get Whitt Therapy, we believe that healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with our communities. Rooted in cultural humility and relational care, our virtual therapy practice is a space where queer and BIPOC individuals, couples, and families are seen, heard, and valued.

Led by Elizabeth Whittington, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-Associate) with a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication, our work is shaped by an understanding of how identity, culture, and power impact the ways we connect and communicate. She is also currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. We use Narrative and Collaborative Therapy approaches to center your voice, your experiences, and your truth. Together, we’ll explore the stories that have shaped your life and create space for rewriting the ones that no longer serve you. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about walking alongside you as you reconnect with your strength and re-author your future.

We offer individual, couple, and family therapy Monday through Friday, with flexible virtual sessions that meet you where you are. Our approach is affirming, collaborative, and focused on helping you reconnect—with yourself and those you love.

As our practice grows, we’re excited to expand our services to include relational workshops and couples’ retreats—designed especially with queer and same-sex couples in mind. These offerings will deepen opportunities for connection, reflection, and collective healing in spaces that honor who you are and how you love.

This is a space to heal, grow, and be fully you.

At Get Whitt Therapy, our mission is to create a space where healing is accessible, inclusive, and transformative. Inspired by the principles of Decolonizing Therapy by Jennifer Mullan, we aim to dismantle the oppressive structures within traditional therapy models by honoring the cultural, historical, and systemic contexts that shape our clients' lives. We believe in the power of narrative and relational healing, and we are committed to empowering our clients to reclaim their stories, build resilience, and foster authentic connections.
